Ariel stood silent and left Kaiden to hug her. "I want this moment to last." He muttered. They just arrived at Vitalis, and he knew the moment he stepped out of this ship, he wouldn’t have the chance to be glued to her..
Ariel patted his back, "What happened to you?" She asked him. Kaiden did not break the hug. "A failed assassination attempt. My brother is getting impatient. " He simply said.
Ariel was puzzled, it only meant the assassins were on the ship throughout the journey. "Sorry," she whispered. He nestled his face on her neck.
"It is fine, I handled this one without issues and I am still alive. I get to live to be your husband." He mischievously chimed in turning a serious conversation into a tease.
Ariel’s head snapped and she shoved him off. Kaiden laughed at her actions. He didn’t want to talk about the assassination or bother her with politics. It was about time he got rid of his competition.
"It is not a joke." She pouted glaring at him. Her hands playfully hit him. Kaiden pretended like it hurt just to play around. "Ouch, that hurts. Don’t kill me yet, if not I would never get to see our future children." He whined.
