Chapter 433: A love story that ended before it started
Abrielle thought it would have been more difficult to convince the local seer to help them, but it was easier than expected. Roselia was able to convince him with a few words, and the small family was going through a financial crisis, which made the offer feel like a breakthrough for them.
Litoralia was a coastal town with ports scattered almost everywhere, including one in the nearby town. To avoid being seen, Abrielle gave Roselia’s father one of her jewellery pieces, which he took to a pawn shop to exchange for the local currency since Abrielle didn’t have any on hand.
After getting the money, he was able to purchase tickets for the earliest ship to the continent of Zeravon, where Heliosa was located far from Tharexia, where Dacronia and Litoralia were situated. The two continents were separated by a vast ocean.
Many preparations were made for their departure. Roselia’s father was even considerate enough to convert some coins for them to use during the journey and get new clothes to help them blend in with the style of Zeravon.
Similar to Dacronia, which was the largest kingdom occupying over half of the Tharexia continent, Heliosa held a similar position, ruling almost the entire continent of Zeravon.
Close to dawn, the group began their journey. It would be a long trip from the forest to the port, taking several hours. To reach the port on time without drawing attention, their horses were sold and replaced with a wagon. The wagon, driven by the local seer and Axel, provided a more discreet and comfortable method of travel for Cedric, given his condition.
When the time to leave arrived, Elias was thanking Roselia for convincing her father while everyone else was boarding the wagon. They stood a bit close to the door.
"Thank you for the help. I hope I’ll be able to repay you one day," he said, and she smiled softly at him.
Her eyes lingered on the small group preparing to depart.
