The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 419: The real Nightshade

Rebecca was already in a bad mood after she met with Cedric. He mentioned something he should not have. Cedric did not explicitly say Abrielle’s magic was sealed, but he implied it.

It was in the middle of the night when Pierre was informed the imperial knight was at their gate demanding his presence. She didn’t want to go out, herself, but after some contemplation, she decided to check what was happening.

The air was cold, and the wind whistled by. A scarf was wrapped around her shoulders as she made her way to the main gate. "What is going on?" She muttered. The air felt off and she knew immediately something was wrong without a doubt. She knew it in her bones.

"Make way." They announced creating a path for her to get to the front until she reached the gate. Just as expected, the imperial army was led by Prince Lucian, but there was someone else who made her heart squeeze uncomfortably.

Her eyes met Callista’s gaze. Calm and composed on the outside but she was shaking inside. "Can we talk over tea at least? This isn’t a way to invite a long-expected guest." Callista implied.

Pierre’s eyes were still fierce, "The imperial army can’t barge into our property when we haven’t done anything against the crown." He insisted.

Callista tipped her head. "I understand, I didn’t ask for the entire army, just me. It is the least you owe." She answered.

Pierre laughed, the entire time Rebecca’s hand was secretly trembling her stomach churning. "Under what condition should I let you in. Someone who brought hostility to my gates." Pierre scoffed and Callista smiled, then her gaze locked with Rebecca, who shuddered and stepped back nervously.

"Simply because of this," Callista said, then drew a circle, golden lights showed, and a rune started to form. Not one like the teleportation runes Abrielle saw during the times she crossed paths with Sarah
