Chapter 386: Sarah
Smoke covered the alley, and Abrielle’s throat went dry. Her lungs were filled with smoke. Coughing sounds rang, and by the time it cleared, they were gone.
"I will try searching", Evelyn suggested, thinking they had escaped under the smoke screen. Abrielle grabbed her hand and shook her head.."It’s useless,"
Abrielle knew it was teleportation magic. The smoke was to cover the fact that the person who rescued Sarah looked like Abrielle. She gave Evelyn a good look, wondering if Evelyn saw the same.
"Evelyn, did you notice anything weird?" she asked the maid. Evelyn’s brows furrowed. "The entire situation is strange." Evelyn admitted.
Evelyn’s reply wasn’t straightforward. This incident made Abrielle feel uncomfortable. What was that?

The night was cold, and the palace was filled with tension. With Lucian taking control of state affairs since Kaiden could not at the moment. He had to temporarily stay at the palace.
There was this thick tension that filled the air, rumours were starting to circulate about the king but the royal family decided to keep Kaiden’s health a secret.
A maid approached the heavily guarded door with a tray. "I am here to give the king his medicine." The maid said the guards recognised her as the one that has been taking care of the king and let her in.
They nodded and made way for her to go in. The king’s chamber was large, and it was late, so the other caretakers were not around.
The maid’s eyes fell on the bed that was illuminated by the moonlight. "Greetings your majesty." The maid greeted Kaiden, who was awake but weak. His consciousness was drifting.
