Chapter 378: It’s beautiful
The Ladies of the Moon, the ritualist cult, of which he had limited knowledge because of how they operate. There were already sorcerers who posed a greater danger than a bunch of bloodthirsty women.
Cedric had already considered the possibility but could not think of the relationship between the sorcerers and the cult.
"What did Betty dream about?" He asked Abrielle. The princess nodded, then turned towards him, ready to share the story.
"She said in her dream, her sister approached her to warn her that the ladies of the moon are after me, but why would they need me?" Abrielle summarised everything in a few words. Cedric was not surprised, knowing what he had discovered from the ones he had killed.
"That’s something we don’t have answers to," Cedric replied, and he walked up to her side and squatted before her.
"It’s almost dawn, you should try sleeping," Cedric suggested. He had come early to watch her sleep, hoping it would keep his mind in check before he left.
He didn’t know what was wrong with him. Cedric thought he would not be affected by Kaiden’s condition but he was so wrong. He was plagued by the thought that Kaiden was sick.
"I can’t sleep, my mind is just spinning." She answered. Cedric held her hand, "You shouldn’t think about it." He stood up still holding her hand.
"Come with me," he said. Cedric pulled her hand, leading her out of her room. She followed him barefoot on the cold marble floor.
