Chapter 181: Lies or truth
The room was tense; there was a lot of their mind, both having their reasons for justification. Abrielle stood her ground not backing down despite the sharp look in Cedric’s eyes.
Cedric laughed at her words, "I guess I will always be the villain to you." He scoffed and turned around intending to leave this conversation. He would rather not continue this conversation than confirm something he didn’t want to acknowledge.
"You are a coward, Cedric; all you know is violent and can never have a proper conversation. You brought up the accusations that I am having an affair but yet you don’t want to hear my side. How pathetic can you be?" Let’s say she got possessed by a demon and just let her mouth rap.
She was deliberately instigating him; fury was rushing through her veins, and her anger could not be quelled. How dare he have the audacity to accuse her of keeping a lover when he has Callista?
"That’s enough, Abrielle. Don’t push me, and stop acting like a saint." Cedric’s fingers curled into a fist. He stood trying his best not to let his anger take over him. He didn’t want to hurt her, he had done enough harm. They had hurt each other enough; crazy enough, he didn’t want to let go.
Abrielle clicked her tongue at him, her eyes filled with disdain as she stared at his back. "I never called myself a saint but I would not stand you accusing me of what I didn’t do. I guess if I push you to the end you might slit my throat like you wanted to end Alfonso." She sneered.
Cedric found her words amusing; he did his best to hold himself back from reporting, ’ At least we do have something in common.’ he laughed at her words. The soft sound of his chuckle makes her skin crawl.
Cedric turned to look at the little ginger, who was getting more brazen each day. His finger took a lock of her hair as he twirled around his finger while smiling. Abrielle was puzzled by this sudden change in mood.
"Fine, let’s talk. Why did you send Alfonso to challenge me and then dramatically come to save him? How noble of you." Cedric drawled at her, his smile slowly falling as his voice became cold.
He was trying to shake her resolve but she was not going to fumble or break under those judging eyes. "I didn’t make Alfonso do anything and you should be glad I saved you from making your reputation worse." She scoffed at him.
"Sweet words, I am not the type to care what others say about me nor hold back when they cross the line last time won’t happen again. Never get the thought I will stop because of you unless you want to stake your head." Cedric nonchalantly expressed, literally saying he didn’t care if his actions affected her or not. She felt like laughing at himself.
