The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 142: I didn’t force you

There was a slight change in the room’s atmosphere, although he tried to control it. Abrielle could sense his displeasure with the topic, and she was like a fool blind to the red signs. After all, her original character was someone who loved red flags.

"I forced myself on you." Cedric scoffed at her diverting from the question she asked. "That isn’t the main topic Cedric. Please don’t divert from the topic." She didn’t like his earlier tone when he replied.

Cedric’s gaze strayed from the plate to her table; he had a bit of a stoic expression, which didn’t hide his good looks. She was a bit distracted but quickly diverted her eyes not to stare too much. "No, I just want to understand how I forced you because, from my memories, you were the one who begged me like your life depended on it. The same way you were close to begging last night."

Abrielle chuckled at his words trying to hide her embarrassment. "I didn’t beg last night and really didn’t care or understand what you were trying to prove. I am just a woman with a functioning body that reacts the way I should." She argued back at Cedric.

Although he didn’t want to answer the question she asked earlier he did enjoy how she kept on rambling and saying little lies. "I was basically assaulted from the door that day you made me give in."

"But I didn’t force you. You seem rather free to talk about that matter." Cedric was still avoiding the topic and drawing the conversation. "There is no shame in speaking to my husband in this manner. So who is the culprit?" Abrielle pinned on the topic.

Cedric released a short breath, he was curious why she wanted to know whether it was related to one of her schemes to kill him. "It’s someone who doesn’t know her place and thinks a few drops of aphrodisiac is enough to make me want her, but don’t worry, I am not the type to forgive those that offend me."

"A tyrant would always be a tyrant, I guess," Abrielle said. She didn’t even know why she said that or if she was deliberately trying to piss him off out of frustration, but Cedric didn’t seem offended in the least way.

He ignored her comment, "By the way, you are aware that we might travel to the mountain temple for the winter prayers. The kingdom needs a lot of prayers considering all the chaos that is happening."

"That reminds me, a letter was sent from the temple by my cousin who is the high priest he wishes to see us." Cedric nodded at her words. There was a slight knock on the door followed by Elias’s voice as he informed Cedric of his urgent summon.

He has barely eaten a thing but he stood up regardless. "I have to go now. Take care." Cedric placed a soft kiss on her forehead before putting on his mask that was on the table then walked out.

Abrielle’s heart fluttered for a short line because of his actions. He was weirdly gentle, and they almost seemed like a real couple, but she knew that she would rather not get fooled by appearances. Behind that gorgeous face was a real demon.
