Chapter 111: She saved the queen
News about how the new prince consort, Princess Abrielle, saved the queen from poisoning quickly spread in the palace and not everyone was happy about it.

He was in the king’s study giving a report on yesterday’s incident when they were attacked by a group of ghouls controlled by sorcerers while tracking a possible lead on the case of a group of sorcerers’ cult working in Darconia.
It was the same thing as always the partial favouritism towards Lucian. In the past, there was actually a time when he was bothered by the way his father acted towards his children who had mothers and him.
He might have been the eldest, but he was invisible like an extra no one saw. That’s why he practised harder at every study just to get his father’s attention and favour, but it didn’t change a thing because Lucian was always there. They were just a year apart; after that, he gave up and just wanted to focus on not dying.

"I am glad to hear the priestess was of great help. You did well." the king praised, and Cedric found himself subconsciously supporting Callista like it was what he was meant to do.
"Callista hasn’t just been of good help, but the entire operation is run by her. If not for her abilities we would be working blindly." He defended, which surprised the King at the fact his proud eldest son, who could never acknowledge his brother’s strength, was actually praising someone.
Before the king could answer, one of his private knights, the king’s men, came in with urgent news.
