Chapter 92: A seductive Villainess
Talk about hearing bad news, the news was terrific. How did she have that mark? "That’s a lot to take in, is there really no way to change my fate?" Abrielle inquired, Zoltana closed her eyes but suddenly jolted away.
Her hands were engulfed with black flames; Abrielle panicked and then poured her tea on the flames. Luckily it put off the little flames. After the flames were gone, there were no burn marks on Zoltana’s hands, but she knew the pain she felt in her hands.
It was burning her like venom. Zoltana sat on the floor stunned as she tried to recover from the shock. Her eyes stared at Abrielle, terrified; she had tried to see if there was a way to sever the bond of the flames or the source and the black flame attacked her.
It was as if it was protecting itself from Zoltana. "Are you alright?" Abrielle urgently asked. Zoltana shook her head and slowly stood.
. "I am sorry about my earlier actions, but something is preventing me from looking forward. The flame mark doesn’t want you to escape your fate and I can’t get rid of it. " Zoltana explained; she had never seen something like it; all she knew was it was a strong darkness.
Abrielle gripped her dress and tried to claim herself; there was no need to rush; she would take one step at a time. "It’s fine we can focus on unsealing my abilities." She answered then Zoltana nodded.
"We can start working on that tomorrow; the flames have drained my strength. Sorry for not being of better help." Zoltana apologized and bowed at Abrielle. She narrowed her eyes at Zoltana. She was glad she had this seer at her side, but Zoltana was an infamous con artist in the original book plot.
"How can I trust you considering your reputation?" Abrielle asked, causing Zoltana to glance back at her with a smirk.
"I know the princess is wary of me, but I am sure you know the truth, and aside, the reason I am helping you is because you have given me a stable life. Being a maid under you is much better than tricking nobles." Zoltana explained.
