The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 52: On his mind

Cedric spent the entire day outside, what was the point of a honeymoon if she was going to spend her time alone in the castle? Not that she was complaining at least with him away she didn’t have to keep her guard up at all times.

She had the notebook with her the entire day, she was followed everywhere. Cedric’s people eyes were always on her and it felt like she was thrown into a labyrinth with no one to trust at all.

She excused herself to the bedroom in the evening because she had to hide the notebook before at night when the maids would help her change her clothes and the only place she could have some privacy was in this bedroom when Cedric was not around.

Abrielle opened the book and was confused as to why it was empty. Where was the so-called system now she needed it to explain some things to her. She sighed then fell back on the bed.

Before she could figure out what this book meant to her she was faced with another challenge how to hide the book without anyone finding out, especially Cedric.

The best bet she had was among her luggage but the maids had access to it and she could not possibly carry it at all times. Then a crazy idea crossed her head, how about she hid it with her wedding dress? No one would touch that anyone and it was kept in a separate box to preserve it because of what it symbolizes.

She quickly got off the bed to rummage through her luggage until she found the box. Her neatly folded dress was in it, she then hid the wrapped notebook in between the fabric layer.

*****

The moon had already hit the sky by the time Cedric’s group arrived back at the castle. He glanced towards the direction of this room window. He was certain by now that Abrielle had gone to sleep.
