The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband

Chapter 35: Khaos monster

The entire forest was shaking; the trembling sounds and shrieking sounds of scared animals echoed, making it hard for Abrielle to hear Cedric’s warnings.

Abrielle’s horse was out of control as it ran towards a tree that was about to collapse. "Belinda, steady," She tried to get the horse under control, but with everyone high in adrenaline, it was hard.

Her horse jumped, making her lose her grip on the reins, and she fell off, injuring herself as Belinda ran to safety.

Abrielle’s heart beat rapidly as she sensed the danger coming from the large tree trunk that was about to fall on her, but she couldn’t move. Her ankle was already twisted and badly injured from the fall.

She looked around, but there was no one; Belinda had run deep into the forest away from Cedric. She had to get up and leave here, but her feet were not responding.

"Get up Abrielle, get the fuck up." She screamed, not caring about using contemporary words. Another deafening growl rang and it seemed like it was very close.

The creaking sound of the tree’s root being uprooted echoed; Abrielle knew she had to get out of there, but why was she so unlucky to be the talentless villainess with a weak body?

"Move, move, you can do it." She kept on telling herself. She couldn’t die here, she just couldn’t. Her life didn’t have to end here. Tears welled in her eyes as she tried to crawl away, pulling herself among the debris on the ground that Injured her.

The tree trunk snapped, and her death was imminent; there was no escape as she hadn’t been able to crawl away from its path.
