Chapter 24: Sharp tongue
The room temperature dropped to an all-time low, and the air was too heavy to breathe. Cedric had to give it to her, his wife was a talented liar, and now she was painting him as being incapable of having her in bed.
Only if she knew the things he could do...
Cedric suddenly flipped her over on the bed with his hand still on her neck. His hold was not too tight as she could still breathe, but Abrielle was not comfortable knowing he could snap her head anytime.
His gold eyes were very cold, and she knew she had hit a nail. Her eyes widened in disbelief. Despite the situation, she was already in, her mouth and still wanted to run and put her in further problems. "Wait, don’t tell me it is true." She gasped, and this time, Cedric tightened his hold on her neck. It felt like he was squeezing all the air from her lungs.
Abrielle struggled to pry his hand away but this monster didn’t stop. Why did she have to run her mouth? "Why don’t you repeat what you just said." He suggested, and still, her dumb mouth wanted to instigate him.
"I said you are incapable in bed." She struggled to say. Cedric’s eyes were still dark, but a sick smile graced his face, one that shook her entire being. He was amused by her guts. She still had the mouth to instigate him when she knew she was lying.
He finally understood why the Duke’s daughter, despite being loved by her family, was single, still at the age of 20. No one can stand this sharp tongue. Cedric let go of her neck, allowing her to breathe.
Abrielle scrambled away from underneath him. She was crazy to have repeated her words but she hated him so much she enjoyed seeing him mad. Her chest was heaving, trying to catch her breath, but the devil was not done with her.
"I guess the only way I can prove myself is to show you directly," Cedric stated. Her eyes went wide as saucers, and suddenly, the thought of having sex with him didn’t seem as pleasurable as she imagined with how dark his aura was.
