Chapter 6: Married To a Monster
Abrielle kicked her legs at Cedric as she tried to pry his hand from her neck. She was running out of breath, and her eyes turned dark. She cursed herself for forgetting a piece of important information about Abrielle's and Cedric's dynamic.
This guy was a monster that always put Abrielle's life in danger every chance he lost his temper due to his psychotic behaviour, and still, despite everything, she was head over heels for this monster.
"Let go. I am running out of breath," she could barely say as she felt her conscience slipping away and his grip only tightened. She kicked at his firm chest with her legs but he didn't bulge most slightly.
"Are you planning on killing me?" She asked him, trying so hard to fight for her life. Fear gripped her heart because it looked like he had the intention to kill her.
"Since you love to escape and run away. Why can't you escape now?" He scoffed at her and the hatred she had for him doubled instantly. He was a fucking devil.
She imagined how she would stab his heart a thousand times until he died, but that could only happen in her imagination because it seemed like she was the one who was destined to die first.
She had not even lived up to a day in this world and she was about to die. At that point, her eyes went dark, and death was knocking at her door; Cedric finally let go of her neck, and she fell on the floor, gasping for air.
Her left hand, which was tied to Cedric, was hanging above as she kicked and struggled to breathe so badly. His fingerprints were on her neck, and he didn't even look the slightest bit disturbed by her predicament.
Cedric pulled out a dagger and brought it towards her. Her heart started to beat out of control thinking this monster was about to end here. She tried to get up and make a run for the door but she couldn't make it as her hand was to bind to him.
