The cultural festival had begun.
The Animal Maid Cafe, with its theme-based interior and the cute maid outfits worn by the female classmates, had already become a topic of conversation. By noon, a long line had formed. The queue that started in Classroom 2-C stretched beyond the corridor and down the stairs.
“Nikki, the manager. Two coffees and two cookies for table four!”
A girl in a maid outfit, who was serving customers, came to the counter that served as the reception to relay the order.
On the other side of the partition, the boys were busy preparing food and drinks.
The familiar classroom felt somewhat cramped due to the flashy decorations and partition boards.
“So when did I become the manager?”
Despite his protest, his hands automatically moved to fulfill the order as soon as it was placed.
He quickly poured coffee into paper cups from a pre-made batch.
“It’s because your own apron suits you so well. Plus, your skilled hands from your Cafe part-time job experience. You’re just right for the role of a manager who can organize the back end!”
“It’s to avoid staining the class parka that’s also a keepsake. I’d be bummed if it got coffee splashes, and stain removal is a hassle.”
