“I’m about to leave.”
Akira made an overtly annoyed face.
“It’s a quick matter, and I don’t mind changing locations.”
The male student seemed to have anticipated Akira’s unfriendly reaction and wasn’t fazed by it.
Everyone left in the classroom sensed the air of a confession, stayed put and listened intently.
Caught in the unnatural silence, their conversation stood out all the more.
I also froze, realizing that moving would only draw attention.
“If you have something to say, say it here. Otherwise, I’m leaving.”
Before he could get an answer, Akira stood up, slinging her bag over her shoulder.
Usually, confessing in front of others is tough, so it seemed like a roundabout way of rejecting the advance.
Akira was determined not to be swayed, ready to leave the scene as quickly as possible with an undeniable force.
