Happy that she likes it, I finally start eating my own curry.
“It’s just like the kind of home-cooked meal you’d want to eat every day. Whoever becomes your wife is going to be very lucky, Nishiki-kun.”
Sensei jokingly says such things in high spirits.
“Sensei, you could eat it every day if you wanted to.”
“Hey now, are you trying to woo me?”
The adult Onee-san winks teasingly at me.
“I just mean that being neighbors, you could come over to eat whenever you feel like it. It would be too cocky of me to try and woo Tenjō-sensei.”
I clarify to avoid any misunderstanding.
“Ahaha, I’m just kidding. There’s no way you would be interested in someone older like me.”
Sensei laughs it off as if it’s impossible and continues to eat her curry.
