Chapter 98: Building a Status Panel
Become a Lawbearer... like becoming a Lawbearer was so easy.
’Let’s take it one step at a time, huh, Aegis.’ Zephyr said. He knew it was true that he needed to get to that level of power for him to have a certain level of confidence in pointing out false realities. But that was ways away. For now there was nothing he could do except keep building his power while hoping that Sage Maximus did not have the time to place him in false realities as often.
’How’s the status screen coming along?’ Zephyr asked. ’You should have been able to get a little bit of accuracy from watching the spell power meter at the arena before I did that, no?’
Well, we couldn’t define the upper limits because of ’that,’ Aegis responded. ’But if we take your last spell as the upper limit, considering it was able to blast a hole through the dummy and destroy the meter itself in the process... I’d say we already have a standard of measurement.
Although, because of the upper limits, the power scaling between ’our’ levels one to hundred would be higher compared to the one at the arena... Aegis explained.
But I think this is good. The training rooms there seemed to cater only towards the lower tiers— Tiers 1-3.
’Oh, so that meter had a limit of normal Tier 3 powers here?’ Zephyr asked. ’That means my compressed fire blast spell has more power than a regular Tier 3 native spell?’
It would seem so, host.
’Hmm.’ Zephyr pursed his lips. He knew he should feel a bit happy about that, but he mostly didn’t think the native power system was a good judge for one to one comparisons. The fact that he as a fresh ’Exalted’ could break the threshold of normal Tier 3s here didn’t seem right to him. So he simply took it as though the regular Tier 3s here were the ones he should compare himself to as a Tier 1 ’Exalted’.
’Alright, Aegis. So let’s see the status panel.’ Zephyr sent a thought.
Okay, host. Displaying HUD status screen with vital spell information taking priority first.
