Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire

Chapter 354 - 225 Alexander’s Ambition

"Hmm, the situation at the border seems to be getting worse."

The alien race, continually migrating south due to the great disaster in the north, has been harassing the Kingdom’s borders. Initially, this matter had little to do with Noah, as the Golden Dragon simply needed to firmly control Elisium to profit from the war. However, Augustus, whom he had meticulously nurtured, has already been caught up in the vortex of war.

Among the many tribes migrating south, the first to seek refuge with the Atlas Kingdom was the Centaur Khanate, which committed several horrendous atrocities at the border, infuriating Uranos, who launched a military campaign in response.

As the Commander of the legion, Alexander achieved continuous victories. Within the Centaur Khanate, which numbered three to four million, the Great Khan, along with the left and right Kings, were all executed. The remaining centaurs were largely massacred, yet still, over a million centaurs scattered and fled in various directions.

From the standpoint of military achievements, Alexander did exceedingly well. However, regrettably, the Prince did not complete the extermination order given by his father, as the Centaur Khanate was not completely annihilated.

Thus, after leading his legion on a campaign, Alexander, who had not lost a single battle, was reprimanded and ordered to station at the Kingdom’s northwestern border to resist the southward fleeing alien tribes, forbidding any creatures from entering the Kingdom’s territory.

Undoubtedly, this was quite a thankless and arduous task. The Kingdom’s borders, facing the north and Central Earth, were no longer as they used to be and remained the most battle-prone and problematic regions.

Even though the Atlas Kingdom had obliterated a faction of the Centaur’s Golden Tent Khanate through iron-fisted means, shocking numerous nations, the northern clans destined to flee southward continued to escape.

Nobody denied the strength of the Atlas Kingdom and its ruler’s toughness, yet no one wanted to resist either; everyone was just fleeing to survive. If the escapees were determined to hide in desolate places, no amount of troops could guard against them.
