Chapter 60 Splitting the Earth
"Uncle, is it over?"
When Casius resumed his human form, descending step by step from the sky, Noah approached him. As he asked in surprise, he glanced curiously at the giant serpent that had returned to the mountain peak behind his foster father.
"It doesn’t like to fight."
The man’s tone revealed a sense of helplessness. Discovering a powerful being capable of challenging him in battle was certainly delightful, but realizing that the opponent preferred tranquility and disliked combat left him feeling quite frustrated.
After all, the opponent was a Spirit of Nature, not an evil creature filled with a desire for destruction and slaughter. If the opponent didn’t want to fight, he couldn’t force it.
In fact, the reason the Big Snake initially fought with all its strength was because it hadn’t understood his intentions. Once it realized that he was merely a battle-loving brute, the Snake began to hold back.
Defending without attacking, it gradually extinguished the man’s fighting spirit. Such a battle was completely devoid of fun for him, becoming more and more uninteresting.
"Oh!"
Noah understood. The status of a Spirit of Nature was extremely special. Unless necessary, it was best not to incur their wrath, let alone draw weapons against them, as this would invite hostility and rejection from a region.
Only someone like his foster father could wield his sword against a Spirit of Nature without hesitation, simply because it was a worthy opponent.
