Chapter 35: Spot On
Suhana blinked, her expression turning from surprise to curiosity.
"Well, that’s an interesting story." She smiled, intrigued by his openness.
"If you don’t mind me asking, what brings you to this island."
Neo leaned back in his chair, pretending to relax, but internally, he was calculating his next move.
"I need money, a lot of it."
Again, he took the most direct approach.
Suhana’s smile widened as she leaned in slightly, her eyes lingering on Neo with a playful glint.
"Money, huh? You must have some big plans,"
Neo couldn’t help but notice the way her words seemed to dance around him, as if testing him.
"Everyone needs money; it’s not really that surprising." he shrugged it off and shifted the conversation. "I think we should go back to the line. I don’t want to end up being food for those monsters."
Though he wasn’t really planning to do it without a proper plan since his face didn’t match his ID.
