Chapter 12: Hard to Ignore
Neo and Maya hugged each other tightly, finding comfort in each other's warmth. Even though danger was all around them, they slowly fell asleep, as if nothing could harm them.
On the other side of the container, however, the women who overheard their passionate moment were left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.
She was so loud it almost seemed like she wanted them to envy her.
Because of this, his value in their eyes soared, making him even more desirable as the only man in this place.
Some of them began plotting ways to get his attention, their minds changing from hostility to desire.
Inadvertently, he managed to kill multiple birds with one stone—though in his case, that "stone" was hard, girthy, and really long.
After six hours, he woke up and started dressing himself. Maya remained asleep, so he let her rest; she deserved it after what he did to her.
He crossed to the other side and noticed the rest were also asleep.
However, he could tell they were sweating because the temperature was rising, meaning it was already daytime.
It wasn't unbearable, and they wouldn't die from it, which was good news.
Still, he needed to make sure to lead the group to survival.
