Chapter 12: Take The Gold
The casino on the third floor of the Hait Hotel is magnificent and splendid. At midnight, many individual guests come here to play crazily. Those who can stay in the VIP rooms are either rich or powerful.
Four men in suits were sitting at the gambling table. One of them, who looked intimidating without being angry, looked at his hand and said with a smile, "I'm lucky today, let's go for it, 500,000."
The other three people all looked unhappy, and it was obvious that the man was the only winner.
Gansler, chairman of the Hait Hotel and the eldest son of the Hait family, is an absolutely powerful figure in Hail City.
The game played at the gambling table was poker. Almost everyone was accompanied by a beautiful woman. The surroundings were filled with waiters and their subordinates.
Those who could be accompanied by Gansler in the VIP room were all powerful figures in Hail City who could cause an earthquake if they stomped their feet.
A fat man with a Mediterranean look frowned, threw his chips forward and said, "Boss Gansler is having a good time, so I'll accompany you. I've lost so much anyway, so I don't mind the 500,000."
The other two simply covered their cards and fanned the flames, saying, "Director Yakov, it's all up to you. Boss Gansler is too lucky today. How can we dare to gamble with him in the future if we don't kill him off a bit?"
The fat man opened his cards directly, a pair of Aces, and said coldly: "Boss Gansler, please open your cards."
"A pair of 3s is not enough, but with a pair of 7s it's barely enough." Gansler laughed and revealed his hole cards. The two small pairs together just happened to eat his pair of A's.
The fat man's face turned green and he cursed, "It's fucking disgusting."
