Everything felt so good. Every touch of Kenric’s mouth on Annalise’s heated skin was flame to kindling.
She suck in a sharp breath when he lingered on a sensitive spot, taking his time. But then he stilled again, his breath hot and wet against the side of my neck. Among all three of her mates, Kenric was the only one who hadn’t marked her yet and their mate bond was still incomplete, and at that moment, feeling his hot breath against her throat, was giving her way too many ideas.
When he didn’t move for a while, her brows furrowed in an unwelcome thought. "You don’t want me?" She asked while looking at him with questioning eyes.
"Does this feel like I don’t want you?" Kenric took hold of her hand and slid it between their bodies, and her fingers unconciously curled around his length through his leathers.
Annalise couldn’t hold back the whimper of pure want at the feel of how hard he was for her despite his constant tries of denying her what she was asking for.
"I always want you, Little Bird." He groaned and without even realizing, Annalise’s fingers squeezed his hardness, causing the Autumn Prince to groan as his body shivered. Then he lifted his head, seized her gaze with his, and she recognized the wild need in those dark brown-flecked depths. It mirrored her own.
"There has never been a day when I didn’t want you, and there will neither be one in future." He rocked his hips into her hand, and her grip tightened along with her stomach. "Wanting you is not the problem here."
"Then what is?"
"You need to rest and sleep, Little Bird. You will need all your energy to face these upcoming days." He confessed and his sincere worry was clearly evident in his eyes.
Annalise smiled and kissed the side of his mouth. "It’s so good to hear that you want me just as crazily as I want you and your brothers. And it’s not worrisome to keep me engaged in some intense workout tonight when"— her teeth nipped at him - "I’m the one begging you to do it."
