Chapter 295: Kenric’s Fire* (Part One)
Another day passed and Annalise still couldn’t stop reading the book and the diary. She was so deep in reading that she completely ignored Kenric as he stepped inside the room.
"We have been wondering why you have suddenly started spending all your time either here or in the library. Seems like you find a really good book."
Annalise nearly jumped off her bed when she heard her husband’s voice, and she turned to see him in the doorway.
She folded the top corner of the page she had been reading before closing the book and putting it aside with the diary next to her pillow.
She softly smiled at Kenric as she finally turned her attention toward him. He has a dark gray shirt on, with heavy-looking boots and black trousers. His short hair was styled back and the red rings in his dark eyes were glowing softly.
"Maybe it’s time for me to take my leave" Little Snow Lion grumbled from its place near the stack of pillows.
Annalise watched as her familiar stood up and jumped down the bed before strutting out of the room.
Climbing out of bed, she walked toward Kenric and was nearly taken aback when he smashed his lips onto hers the second she was close enough.
Seeing as her body and soul also had the same thought, she kissed him back just as passionately as he lifted her up and carried her into the lounge. He sat down at the edge of the bed with her on his lap, her legs parted and making her fully aware of how hard he was, even hidden by his trousers.
