Chapter 274: Great At Acting
The strong wind blew across the witch city, creating sounds that were distracting Annalise from the book of spells that she was reading.
The last thing she was expecting was for the Witch Leader to hand her a book of spells personally and that too a book filled with light spells. Who would have thought that a dark witch would have a book of powerful light spells in her possession?
Well, it was a present that Annalise was really enjoying. After surfing through the entire library back at home and reading all the possible spell books she had found, she was looking forward to getting hold of another spell record or something to continue with her training. The more she was training with spells and physical training, the better and stronger she was becoming.
The sound of knocking on her bedroom door pulled her attention completely away from the book and toward the man who was waiting at the entrance of her widely open door for her permission to enter.
"Come in."
Her voice was barely audible because of the sound of strong wind but the man entered immediately since he heard her loud and clear because of his enhanced hearing.
"I was wondering if what you said outside, a couple of hours ago, was only for my brothers or was also for me?" Valerius asked as he closed the door and started walking toward her.
"Are you trying to play smart to go against my words?" Annalise asked while arching her eyebrows in question. She watched in surprise as Valerius immediately stopped in his tracks as soon as the question, or more like an allegation, was out of her mouth.
"If you want I can leave..."
