Chapter 187: No escaping!
Annalise helped Leela, Aunt Claire, Freya, and Sera in cleaning up the dining hall after they all were done with a hearty dinner. Still, her mind could barely focus on anything else other than her husbands who hadn’t left the hall yet even though everyone else had long retired to their bedrooms.
"How about you stop stalling anymore and just go to your husbands? Those men have been following your every step since this morning." Leela teased her in a whispered tone as if it could stop the dark lord from hearing what she was saying.
While Annalise couldn’t do anything but continue with her work while holding her head down, the rest of tge women around her chuckled at Leela’s words.
"I agree with Lady Leela’s words, you should not keep the Lords waiting like this." Even Aunt Claire didn’t give up on the chance to tease her and once again all the young women chuckled except for Annalise who just wanted to disappear.
Pristine wasn’t wrong when she said that the dress would easily catch the dark lords’ attention. Ever since she came downstairs in the morning, those three pairs of eyes had followed her everywhere around the castle. It was one of those unusual days when not even one of her husbands disappeared even for a while throughout the entire day.
But it didn’t take her long to understand that she probably went overboard with the idea of dressing up because after teasing the three of them throughout tge day, now she was filled with anxiety as the night had finally appeared and she could no longer run away from them or the desire that seemed to be burning their eyes as they continued to follow her every little action.
She was pulled out of her thoughts when she suddenly felt a familiar presence right behind her and the very next second, a muscular arm came to wrap around her belly before she was pulled into a warm embrace.
Her hands, which were busy setting up the dishes, stilled as she heard Kenric’s deep voice right next to her left ear as he addressed Aunt Claire and others, "Beautiful ladies of the house if you all will allow me, Can my wife take her leave now? I will really appreciate the generosity."
He was such a charmer, how could anyone say no to his request? That’s why none of the women missed even a single second before they all gave their consent without caring about asking for Annalise’s opinion.
"Thank you," Kenric responded in genuine gratitude as he gave them a bright smile and a bow before he pulled Annalise closer to him, if even possible considering how they were almost pressed together, and teleported her away.
The last thing Annalise recalled before the magic of the teleportation spell took over her surroundings, was the shock that she saw on Aunt Claire, Sera, and Freya’s faces when they saw Kenric using such a powerful spell right in front of their eyes.
