Chapter 137: Dream of Pleasure** (Part Three)
Annalise soon found herself alone on the bed with Kenric while Damien and Valerius left them alone in the pavilion that was more of their romantic bedroom at this point instead of some official entrance to the Mer Court.
The thought of someone suddenly arriving there and finding her all naked in the bed made her feel a little bit anxious but her thoughts were soon disturbed when Kenric suddenly moved. He straightened up, tugging her with him before he slid his fingers into her hair and kissed her.
"Can I take care of you, Little bird?" He asked while pulling away a little bit to look into her eyes with a soft smile that made her gaze linger on his lips for a bit longer than normal.
"How are you going to do that?" She found herself asking as she wrapped her arms around his neck and straddled him with her knees resting on the bed on either side of his thighs. Her naked body was plastered against his and the muscles of his bare chest were pressed against hers.
The man just smiled as he planted another soft kiss on her lips before responding, "Let me show you." He lowered her onto the bed before he settled himself between her thighs while his hands were resting on the bed on either of her arms.
He moved his face down to close reg space between their faces before his mouth captured hers in a deep passionate kiss that left her wanting more, her hands moved to hold his muscular arms as his muscles flexed under her fingers.
Even now, she was only able to sense his fire that was floating on the surface and trying to entice her powers in a sexual game of pleasures and power. But no matter how good his fire was making her feel, she couldn’t stop thinking about the absence of his other element - earth. She was still unable to connect with his second element and the realization brought a pinch of sadness to the beautiful moment that she was currently sharing with the third dark lord.
Kenric sensed her sadness and pulled away to look at her with worried eyes as he asked, "Is something wrong, Little bird?"
Annalise shook her head as she smiled softly at him while replying, "It’s just... I still can’t access your earth." She looked at him with hopeful eyes as there was a fleeting feeling in her heart that he would be able to give her some sort of solution but there was nothing that Kenric could do about it. Their powers were supposed to react only when they would be compatible, if there was no compatibility, there would be no connection.
The man cupped her cheek with his palm as he stroked his thumb against her smooth skin while replying, "I’m sorry, Sparks. You have to go through disappointment because of my element’s lack of interest in our bond. But I’m sure that one day, my earth will react to your powers too just like my fire."
