Chapter 91: I Need You
Annalise snuggled closer into the arms of the man who was softly stroking her cheek as her head rested against his shoulder while his arm was wrapped around her securely.
"How are you feeling now, Princess?" Damien asked in an unusually soft voice, one that she couldn’t even relate to him. If not for her bond, she almost thought that he was someone else.
She found herself smiling softly as the memories of the previous night returned to her. "Perfectly fine." She whispered and realized just how raspy her voice sounded and how dry her throat felt.
She felt something against her lips which she parted on instinct and the next second, a small candy-sized tasteless thing slipped inside her mouth and immediately melted into cool water and slipped down her throat.
She let out a small audible sigh as she snuggled her face back into the warm chest of her mate and realized that it was pretty much bare. Her eyes finally fluttered open and she found herself staring at a very naked Damien laying beside her.
Her mind got frozen for a moment as her heart leaped into her throat but then she felt the softness of his pants against her leg that was resting over his and she finally let go of the breath that she had been holding all this time without realizing it.
A black cover was hiding most of their bodies and she realized that she was also wearing a soft black nightgown that left her upper body almost half as bare as Damien’s. At least, her chest and abdomen were perfectly covered unlike his.
"I’m having trouble understanding the way you are looking at me." The man suddenly commented, pulling her attention back to his face.
His long black hair was left loose, and his grey eyes stared at her with an emotion that almost melted her to her core. His tanned and muscular body was completely at her disposal and she couldn’t find any reason to not like what her eyes were seeing.
