Chapter 39: Iamalittlebithungry
"Now you should return to your sleep. Your husbands are becoming worried." The fairy spoke as she pulled Annalise’s attention back towards her.
"Worried?" Annalise asked in confusion. Why would the Dark Lords be worried about her? And as soon as the question entered her brain, she finally realized the first sentence that skipped her attention completely - returning to her sleep. "I... I am not in my physical..."
The fairy smiled as she noticed the confused and a little flustered look on Annalise’s face. "Your physical body is still inside your bedroom, while your consciousness is here and because it has been so long, your husbands have started realizing that something is wrong."
"Oh." Annalise wasn’t sure how to respond to this new knowledge. The thought of her conscious self wandering out of her physical body both excited and scared her for various reasons. "Will we meet again?" She asked the fairy.
"Of course, we both live here. Our meetings in the future are inevitable."
Annalise wasn’t really that great when it came to judging someone’s personality based on just one short encounter. But even then, she could feel a sense of honesty from the fairy that made her trust the girl’s words... for the time being.
The moon and stars disappeared from the sky, and the silence of the night was shaken by the sound of strong wind. The atmosphere became chilled and gloomy. As her surroundings started to change, Annalise hurriedly asked the last question from the disappearing silhouette of the fairy, "What’s your name?"
"Pristine."
