Chapter 123: ANGRY RANON
Well, Ranon was right. Arlo did it. His tight grip bruised Hazel’s wrist. It might not have been visible at first, but over time, it became darker and turned into a bruise.
"I think he held me too tight," Hazel said quietly. The bruise was not painful. Without a doubt, if she compared it to all the wounds she had suffered, this bruise was nothing but a decoration on her skin.
"And why did he hold you tightly?" Ranon clenched his jaw. He looked angry, and to be honest, Hazel was a little bit scared.
It spoke volumes if she was scared of him since she was not easily scared of someone.
"I... I don’t know." Hazel wanted to kick herself for stuttering.
Ranon narrowed his eyes, but thankfully, he didn’t grip her wrist too tightly like Arlo did. In the end, he put away the cold towel.
"What did you talk about with him?"
"I can’t tell you."
Ranon was silent for a moment. "Is it related to River Lozen?"
"Yes."
"What is the connection between you and River?"
