Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain

Chapter 93: MISHAP ON HAZEL PART

"I still remember when you were born; you were very beautiful. A little baby that I had in my arms. I am sure your mother would love to see you. She would be very happy for you on your wedding day. She always talked about how excited she was to have a daughter when she was pregnant with you. She always gushed about how she couldn’t wait to see you."

Renna was reminiscing about the past; her gaze softened when she talked about it.

"Yeah, but I think she changed her mind after she gave birth to me. After all, she died." Hazel didn’t mean it to sound sarcastic or dramatic. She just talked without thinking.

She only stated the truth because that was all her father and brothers had been telling her in Hazel’s whole life.

It was engraved in Hazel’s core memory.

"No, don’t say that." Renna stopped her immediately. "Don’t ever say that. I know your mother would not be happy with the way your father and brothers treated you. She loved you so much, and I know her because I had been with her family since she was little too. That’s why I know how she felt if she learned that her daughter was mistreated. She loved you so much, Hazel; don’t ever doubt that."

When Hazel’s mother married Greyson, she brought Renna with her.

"And if the Leighton family doesn’t treat you well, and if your future husband hurts you like the way your father and brothers did to you, you need to go to your maternal family."

Hazel was not sure about that. As far as she knew, her mother’s family disowned her because she married Greyson. They didn’t like a politician at all. There were a few stories that she needed to dig into if she wanted to know more about it.

However, she didn’t think she would do it in the near future. This kind of information was not really important for her. Probably later if she found the need to figure out what was going on in her mother’s family.

"Okay." Hazel didn’t want to argue. She wanted this conversation to end quickly. Renna was being very emotional, and she didn’t know how to deal with this kind of conversation.
