Chapter 80: GET INTO THE CAR
"Can you stop doing that? That’s not really nice to push someone else. Didn’t your parents tell you about that?"
Hazel would regret this decision later, but right now she needed to make sure her future nephew was all right, since Carl didn’t seem to be able to handle the situation.
"What?"
"Who are you?"
"Who do you think you are?"
Hazel raised her brows; she was sure that her cover was very good, and these people had proven it since they didn’t recognize her.
She was a little bit upset when Lyle could recognize her easily, but then now she knew it was simply because Lyle was more observant, probably more observant than Hazel wanted to admit, but when she saw these people, she was sure that there was nothing wrong with her cover.
She had been pretty famous lately, so there was no way they couldn’t tell it was her, especially if they befriended Carl since the Leighton and the Rose family had been quite on people’s mouths lately.
"Stay away from him."
"Why? What are you going to do? Do you want me to punch you too?"
"Hold on," one of them spoke; he grinned and looked at Hazel closely. "You have a pretty face. I don’t think I want to hurt you."
