Chapter 53: THE TRUTH HURT
At first, Hazel thought Greyson would lash out again after what she said. It was mean, and she intended that to hurt.
But as it turned out, her father actually looked stunned. He looked almost like he was very shocked by what she said, which was very funny because how could he get hurt by such truth?
"What did you say?"
"I wish you had died instead of mother."
Greyson asked for it, and Hazel didn’t mind repeating it again for him. For a split second Hazel thought he was going to slap her hard, but he didn’t.
This man must be very delusional to think he was not in the wrong in all of this time. He should have seen this coming.
Right now, Greyson was standing in front of Hazel, staring at her in disbelief as if she just grew a second head.
"I wish Mother were here. If it were Mother, I wouldn’t need to endure the abuse that came from you. I didn’t need to feel the pain of your belt, and more importantly, Mother will not blame me for your death and hate me for it."
No. Hazel didn’t know about that, honestly. Hazel’s mother could be worse than Greyson, but Hazel wanted him to be hurt.
