Chapter 9: Night
Nathan stepped out of the cave and immediately froze. His breath hitched as he witnessed the strangest phenomenon of his life.
The sky, once bright and cloudless, began to darken unnaturally.
It wasn't like the usual sunset—there was no gradual transition, no warm hues of orange or red. Instead, it was as if someone was lowering the brightness of a phone screen. The entire world dimmed, the vibrant light fading bit by bit until, in an instant—
Night fell.
Nathan shuddered. He had never been inside the Tower before, so he had no idea if this was normal. His heart pounded, his instincts screaming that this wasn't just some natural occurrence.
"What the hell...?" he murmured, unable to tear his eyes away from the sky.
But before he could fully process what had happened—
A firm hand grabbed his wrist.
"Inside. Now."
Domina's voice was stern, almost urgent.
Before Nathan could react, she yanked him back into the cave. Her grip was absurdly strong, making resistance useless. Livia followed right behind, glancing back at the eerie darkness outside before quickly slipping in as well.
