The noise made by Alexander Johnson woke up Chloe Simpson, who had just fallen asleep.
She opened her eyes to see Alexander with his phone, looking particularly anxious, continually making calls.

Hearing Chloe’s voice, Alexander turned around abruptly and glanced at the door, thinking of the people Gabriella had sent to guard them.
