Ais leaned against the dungeon wall, her golden eyes fixated on the distant corridor Ethan had fought through.
Blood still stained the stone. The mutated monsters were already dissolving, but the memory of how he fought lingered in her mind.
She had watched the entire skirmish.
His movements weren’t like the others. Sharp. Controlled. But it wasn’t just skill—it was the way he reacted, like his body had already faced death more than once. Like instinct and experience danced together with his blade.
