Chapter 73: Interactions With The Night Part 32
Shane took a step back and rubbed his boot on the ground, trying to calm himself. He looked at his best friend’s back, ready to tell the truth.
Before he could, Lor came over and acted like she needed help.
She pulled her partner in crime to the side, and they started whispering in low voices.
After a few seconds, Shane got upset and walked out.
"Wow, they don’t even bother to hide it. It’s so obvious," Kana added. "So, does the real husband know?"
Luck shrugged. "I wouldn’t bet on it, but if he’s really dumb enough to ignore the obvious, then it’s on him."
The corners of Kana’s mouth lifted in a knowing smile; she was a sucker for drama like this.
"You think Shane actually has a shot to get her? It’s just so... typical," she mused, leaning back on her hands and gazing up at the sky.
"I’m no expert, but it looks like she’s doing everything she can to avoid that from happening. She probably still loves her husband. Or maybe she just doesn’t want to take any blame. Who knows... Who cares?"
He planned to leave it at that since he didn’t care much about it.
