Chapter 115: EX 115. Demon’s Can Get Power-Ups Too
Lightning gathered to Rebecca like it recognized its master.
It spiraled down from the boiling clouds, wrapped her torso, and sank heat into the wound across her chest. Flesh hissed. Armor fused and smoked. The slash sealed in a white-hot line as the current cauterized it shut. Every breath she took cracked the air with rolling thunder; the active skill [Thunderstorm] poured the full force of a divine storm through her body, turning the space around her into a charged domain.
Below and behind, Raven still strained against the spinning sphere of wind blades Natasha had launched. It shrieked and carved the air, but Raven held it in place long enough.
As Rebecca moved.
One flash and she was in front of the demonified Natasha.
Her voice came raw, tight with grief. "Let me end your pain. Thunder Clap."
Time seemed to stall.
As Rebecca split into twelve lightning doubles, each an afterimage mid-strike, circling the demon in a halo of blinding arcs. For the barest instant the battlefield saw all twelve at once, arms pulled back for the killing blow. Then the copies snapped together, collapsing into her true form. The pressure change cracked the sky.
The thunder that followed hit like artillery.
As Her lightning-coated fist, reinforced by the force of compressed thunder, slammed into Natasha’s face. Shattering bone and demonic plating. As the impact launched the creature across the sky, spinning end over end, trailing sparks and black blood.
Rebecca did not let it fall. She flashed after, streaking through the crackling air to continue the onslaught out over the ruined clouds.
Behind her, the wind sphere lost its feed. Without Natasha driving it, the construct unraveled. Raven shoved once and it tore apart in a burst of shredding currents that thinned into harmless gust.
