Chapter 103: EX 103. Brought To Light
In Eden’s mind, the world burned.
The explosion replayed with merciless clarity, the blinding light, the ringing in his ears, the way he thought he’d die in that instant. He saw Leon shielding them again, saw blood, saw flames, saw himself frozen.
Then, the scene shifted.
He was no longer at the site of the blast, but back during the selection.
Another near-death encounter. Another demon. Another moment where he could do nothing but cling to the hope that someone stronger would act.
Then the dream twisted again.
The white space.
That eerie nothingness before he entered the Trial World. Where he chose his difficulty.
Where... he made a choice.
A spike of pain shot through his skull in the dream.
