Chapter 14: First Customers (1)
"Welcome to my tribe. I, Ygroa, am glad to make your acquaintance." Lukas said, casting a charitable smile.
As instructed, he made sure not to look at the visitors. However, he also didn't need to. By studying the intonation of their voice, there was quite a lot about them that he could uncover.
"I see that the goblins are under new leadership," One of them said distastefully. The other quickly joined in, saying, "Yeah, who is you?"
'Ah, skeptics.' Lukas thought with a smile. Addressing the more nervous goblin, the one who only spoke second, Lukas said, "I am Ygroa, the great Chief Deity of Goblins."
"Elves," The first goblin interjected.
Lukas kept his face stoic through his surprise.
'Elves? Did I really make them believe that the Chief Deity of Elves actually became their god?'
Knowing he couldn't dwell on it anymore without losing his credibility, Lukas did his best to improvise.
"Yes. I was the great Chief Deity of the Elves. However, due to some recent events I had decided to move on from them, and instead bless the goblins. After all, do you not see my tribe's new appearance? Do you really think they just gained all that muscle overnight?"
