Chapter 21 - Doubts
While laughing, Sophia and her mother approached their father, who was watching Noah lying on the bed with a serious expression mixed with surprise – there were no more holes in the boy's body, and his bones... they were still there...?
"What happened, Dad...?" asked Sophia, noticing the strange look on her father's face.
"Now that I look more closely... him..."
"Him?" inquired Sophia's mother, stepping slightly away from her and moving toward her husband.
"This boy... his bones are intact."
"What? There's a whole basket outside that says exactly the opposite," said Mrs. Radiance.
"And besides," he continued, "this boy... I believe he's evolved since the last time I saw him."
"Huh? And what's wrong with that? Is he alright or not?"
Neither Mrs. Radiance nor Sophia could understand why he was so surprised and impressed; to them it was only natural—after all, if someone trains, they obviously progress, right? At least, that's what both of them had always thought.
