Chapter 40: Fierce Battle on a Rainy Night
"All troops, stabilize your positions! Gather! Attack! Fire!"
Per the squad's swift reactions, all the soldiers grabbed their weapons and showered the insects and beasts both in the sky and on the ground with bullets!
On the rainy night, the howls of the mutated creatures resounded through heaven and earth, perhaps even overshadowing the roars of firearms and weapons!
Rumble rumble rumble…
The shockwaves and shrapnel from the explosion tore open cracks between the swarms of insects and beasts. Yet, these cracks were soon filled up with more insects and beasts immediately!
"Focus fire!"
The sound of the loudspeaker roared while the machine gun in his hand spewed fire, shooting down dozens of mutated birds and flying insects that were rushing toward him in the air!
"What are the flamethrowers squads doing? Charge forward!"
In the sky, the dark swarm of birds and insects in the pouring rain charged madly in the direction of the camp. Even though the soldiers were well-equipped, they were mortal after all and unable to withstand the most minor attacks!
