Chapter 310: Raynare’s Gift
In a dimly lit room, Tenraku sat on a throne with a slight frown. Mittelt and Kalawarner stood respectfully on either side, attending to him.
“Raynare, what’s the matter with them?” Tenraku inquired, looking at the fallen angels who were bound by chains before him.
Having heard the story from Mittelt and Kalawarner, Tenraku knew that Raynare was behind this. He wondered what this woman was up to now.
“She’s Chessia, a former friend of mine from the Fallen Angels group. The others are her subordinates,” Raynare replied. “I brought them all here to present them to you. Do you like this gift, my Lord?”
Holding the face of a fallen angel girl in her hands, Raynare grinned maliciously. Chessia, the fallen angel girl named by Raynare, had a pale and weakened appearance, bearing signs of inhumane treatment. Her face showed both tension and fear as Raynare held her.
“Heh, friends?” Tenraku questioned skeptically. “Raynare, is this how you treat your so-called friends?”
With a cold laugh, Tenraku couldn’t believe Raynare’s twisted words. How could she be so cruel to someone she called a friend? And really, if Raynare’s kind of twisted and dark insanity could yield friends, pigs could fly.
“You’re quite harsh, my Lord. Must you expose me like that? After all, I did this all for you,” Raynare responded, approaching Tenraku with a pout, feigning a hurt expression.
“For me? Tell me more,” Tenraku’s expression remained unchanged, seeing through Raynare’s pretense. His smirk turned into a cold smile.
