Chapter 243: Determination
“Roar!” A mass-produced Gigantis Dragon soared through the sky as it charged toward Yubelluna. In response, Yubelluna swiftly waved her magic staff, deploying hundreds of magic arrays before her.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Brilliant light erupted as the magic arrays detonated, creating turbulent and scorching air currents which were as sharp as blades. Even the heavily armored Gigantis Dragon recoiled in pain when it came in contact with it and was forced to retreat.
Yubelluna, with her magnificent magic robe fluttering in the wind, repelled the malevolent dragon. However, no joy filled her heart for her achievement.
As the “Queen” of Tenraku, she could confront a mass-produced Gigantis Dragon single-handedly, but her Peerage members would require at least two or three people, if not more.
As the battle raged on, her sisters sustained constant injuries. Particularly Ile and Nel, the audacious and reckless duo, who, despite inflicting severe damage on a Gigantis Dragon, were badly burned in the dragon’s counterattack. They had to withdraw from the fight and seek treatment from Asia many times.
In the midst of strategizing, Yubelluna suddenly noticed Xuelan and Isabela flying toward the Gigantis Dragon.
“Xuelan, Isabela, what are you doing?!” Yubelluna’s expression changed, and she hastily used communication magic to shout at the two girls.
“Yubelluna, if we keep waiting for reinforcements, some of our sisters will be lost. It’s better to take the initiative.”
