Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 486: Consort Trial?

"Why does Ozia get to go out with Father?" Kratos asked, having his arms folded and his gaze on the holographic screen in the command chamber of one arkship.

This arkship was at the rear and flagged by four other arkships, each piloted by Exalon’s princes.

This particular arkship had Nalii on the pillow throne of the command chamber. Her green eyes were focused on the holographic screen too.

The rest of Kael’s children were in the command chamber with her, paying attention to the outside world through the use of the holographic projections.

Currently, they were chatting with each other using their telepathy, preventing Nalii from eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Because he’s the first?" Raymond said, purple electricity flashing in his sharp eyes.

"No, because he has more potential than all of us," Silas said while shaking his head.

He wasn’t upset or jealous that Ozia had been chosen to stand beside Kael at the forefront. In fact, he was happy.

Silas knew that just because they were siblings meant that they were equals or walking the same path.

Ozia, being the first son and the most talented cub ever seen, everyone knew that his life would be different if all was done right.

Ozia himself never really saw himself as equals with the likes of Silas or Kratos and his other brothers.

Although he usually tried to hide it and Isabel helped out in humbling him, it never really went away.

Pride and arrogance were woven into his bones and flesh, that was what made Ozia authentic in his own way.

Silas knew about all this and would not delude himself with fantasies of a family bond.

Anyone would see that it would be a big waste to let Ozia settle for just a Lion Prince position. There was so much more he could achieve for Kael if he were given the right time and space to grow.

So Silas was right, Ozia had more potential than any of them.

All of Kael’s children were talented, seeing how they were already tier 4 at a young age. But compared to Ozia, they were still lacking.

Silas didn’t want to be out in the open like Ozia. He wanted to be powerful but he still wished to remain under the protective shadow of his father.

"I also have potential," Kratos said.

"I’m sure Father did not forget about you, Kratos. Your time to shine just hasn’t come," Jeremiah said, the antlers on his head glowing softly with green light.

Kratos nodded, "I really can’t wait to be really strong. Like, really really strong."

"How strong?" Victoria asked.

"As strong as possible!" Kratos exclaimed. His mind drifted to Exalon’s imposing figure.

He genuinely envied Exalon for possessing such a fantastically powerful body. Compared to him, Kratos just looked like a child who was quite large for his age.

"Do you want to be as strong as father?" Victor asked with a sky smile.

Kratos chuckled, "Don’t say such nonsense," He waved his hand with fear in his eyes, "You want Aunt Katari to beat me?

Even if I wanted to, I can’t. Father is just too strong and too fast. He’s commanding powers none of us have access to."

"Wise words," Alyrat muttered.

Alyrat was standing at a corner and separated herself from the others. Two arkships were folded in front of her small chest and the other two were placed behind her back.

She seemed rather introverted and reserved compared to the others. Most would only assume it was a side effect of growing up under Katari’s care.

Silas glanced at Alyrat with a thoughtful expression, "Have you guys heard or seen Wei?" He asked.

His question jolted the memory banks of the children. They remembered that blue-skinned girl who had grown up with them.

Burdo’s daughter, their cousin.

"She might be preparing for that mysterious trail father spoke about. Maybe she’s in secret training," Kratos commented.

"Who knows, she might be very strong once she comes back from wherever she went.

We should not slack off at all," Kratos declared with a clenched fist.

Meanwhile, Alyrat’s ears had remained upright at the mention of Wei. She remembered that Kael still had a pending selection trial.

Following patterns, it was likely that Kael wanted to fill in the gaps of his perfect harem.

Kael would need consorts with Water, Earth, Frost, and Time lionhearts.

Alyrat didn’t know about the others but she was beginning to pay more attention to the Earth lioness’ position.

"Will father get another aunt now that we are in heaven?" Hannah, Olivia’s daughter and the current youngest, asked.

Raymond shrugged, "That’s his choice not ours. But it is very likely." Silas said.

"There’s going to be a lot of competition for those spots and Father is only interested in those that are capable," Kratos said.

The children continued discussing with themselves, and Alyrat’s mind kept on contemplating something.

///////

A lone arkship flew through the multicolored void of heaven with earl speed, covering multiple light-years in an instant.

Finally, the warp engine deactivated and the arkship slowed down to regular speed which wasn’t even up to the speed of light.

But the vessel had reached its destination.

"Wow!" Within the command chamber of this lonesome arkship, Shawty sat on the pillow throne with Alora standing not too far from her.

The reason for Shawty’s sudden exclamation was because of the scene they were now seeing.

Thousands of arkships, maybe up to ten thousand, had surrounded the headquarters of the String of Fate Coalition.

The sorrowful light of the red star was covered by the massive machines. The beams and orbs shot out from the hot barrels of the cannons created a stunning light show.

This on its own could be considered a one-sided large-scale battle.

Fortune Lions were turning on each other. Some were forced to join the lion system to prove that they were not Sinners. And those who had joined previously also didn’t want to be labeled as sinners and kicked out of the system.

Less than half of the firepower was focused on one individual though.

"Shawty, move out of the way," Alora said, noticing an object moving toward them at insane speed.

"What?" Shawty asked, confused, but she still tried to move out of the way.

Alora frowned, "Move away, now!"

*BOOM!*

The arkship was rocked backwards as something hard and heavy crashed into the hull from the side.

The force of the impact was great enough to push the arkship a couple thousand kilometers.

What had crashed into their arkship was a peculiarly shaped object. An earthen mass.

An island.

King Vander’s island to be precise.

As soon as it crashed into the side of the arkship, it exploded into millions of earthen fragments that rained down all over the top of the arkship.

"What was that?" Shawty asked, quickly controlling the arkship to stabilize itself.

"There’s still something, check," Alora said coldly as she walked fast toward one of the holographic screens.

She could have sworn she saw someone crash together with that island just now.

"Is that...Exalon?" Shawty asked.

Indeed, on top of the arkship, amidst the debris, flickering energy barrier, and dust, Exalon was present.

He had been hit with that island before crashing here.

Exalon stood up, allowing his all white up and down matching attire to billow in the cosmic wind.

His sharp yellow eyes focused on the individual who had sent him flying.

In the distance, injured and under a lot of pressure, King Vander weaved and flew through the streams of cannon beams and bullet rains.

Most of the attacks couldn’t land a solid hit and those who did found out that even tier 7 fortune lions had hides tough enough to withstand a certain level of hits.

*GROWL!*

Exalon growled, his yellow eyes sharpening and his muscles bulging further.

He squared, the agonizing groans of metal came from beneath him as the arkship started vibrating again.

*BOOM!*

Exalon jumped, launching himself into the sky like a flesh meteor.

The arkship was rocked again, Exalon’s launch caused the vessel to move slightly in the opposite direction.

Within the command chamber, Alora’s and Shawty’s eyes gleamed with curiosity.

If they were not wrong, the elderly lion Exalon had just flown after was a literal tier 7 fortune lion.

What was going on?

They watched as Exalon’s body kept on expanding until he grew into a Lion Titan the size of a big mountain.

His grey fur and mane fluffed around, his muscles screamed with power, his maw was open wide, revealing the terrifying rows of jagged teeth.

"Sinner!" Exalon bellowed, swiping his gigantic paw downward to envelop Vander in a world-encompassing slap.

Vander was expending most of his energy dodging the numerous cannon beams and explosions. Avoiding so many fatalities at the same time would have been no issue any other day if not that these attackers were relentless.

They really wanted that mysterious treasure, and perhaps an excuse to snatch his Heavenly Beacon.

With so much on his plate, King Vander still tried to avoid the incoming giant slap, but failed.

*BOOM!*

The powerful paw hit and Vander felt like every single bone in his body was fractured at the same time.

Blood gushed out of his mouth and stained his fur as he was sent flying.

As if hoping this would happen, hundreds of arkships sped over, overflowing with killing intent.

They dived in for the finishing blow.
