Chapter 477: Leonine Heaven
"The All-King is coming to heaven! Ready yourselves for his arrival!"
Exalon’s voice was loud, the sound waves bashing against the walls of the pyramid. He had spoken not just in the lion language, but also in telepathic waves.
His announcement spread far and wide, enveloping the massive black pyramid in his excitement.
What he said had confused all those who were inside. Numerous holes opened up in the walls as thousands of lions and lionesses peered through.
Before anyone could say anything...
*WHOOSH!*
A heavenly gate opened right above the pyramid. All the lion kings could feel the pull of Conquering Essence.
Those kings who were not in the pyramid had not heard Exalon’s announcement, but they felt the pull.
Heavenly Beacons had to have a source of energy for them to work. Formerly, the lion kings would fill it with their own power, which worked but only gave them half the enhancement.
Now, the Primordial Supporters, the lion kings who were part of the lion system, could use the Conquering Essence which was the intended power source when Silas invented them.
This meant that all the lion kings here had some Conquering Essence within their heavenly beacons at this time, meaning they had a passive awareness of where the Conquering Essence was at a given time.
Right now, with so many conquerors and tyrants gathered in one place, there was sure to be a saturated amount of Conquering Essence lingering around in the air.
The lion kings could all feel the Conquering Essence being pulled toward an object at the top of the pyramid.
The heavenly gate, powered by the law of Conquering Essence, opened up and got wider and wider.
Exalon, floating in the sky with an excited expression, watched the opening of the portal.
At the same time, his senses were spread wide and his arkship was positioned not far away, ready to act immediately in case of anything.
Soon, the multicolored heavenly gate grew big enough for an arkship to pass through.
Finally, the figure of an arkship started to reveal itself, gradually crawling its way out of the portal.
By now, many Lion Kings had flown out of the pyramid, surrounding the massive structure like the rings of Saturn.
Lions, some in their true forms and some in their humanoid forms, hovered with Exalon.
They had all heard and processed what Exalon had said and were left wondering if what he said was true. Exalon had given them any prior notice at all.
They didn’t even have time to verify, they could only watch as the mysterious arkship passed through the heavenly gate.
That was when they noticed something that made all of them frown.
Even Exalon’s smile faded away.
"A dragon arkship?" One of the lion kings said.
Indeed, what was coming out of the heavenly gate was not a lion arkship, which they had all been expecting for some reason.
What they saw was an arkship with the distinct design of the dragon. Most arkships had similar structures but they also had some minor details that differentiated them.
Especially with the fact that the dragon arkship usually had an imperial symbol on some parts of its body. Anyone who had tussled with the arkships of the Dragon Empire before would know about this.
Although the imperial symbols could be scraped off, this particular arkship still had its symbols bold and clear.
It was as if it were there to provoke the lion kings who saw it.
Still, the lion kings did not take any unnecessary action, they just stared at the vessel with a cold gaze and rising killing intent.
So what if it was a dragon arkship? This was a place teeming with Lion Kings, all of whom were tier 6 and many of whom had their arkships focused on this location.
If it were indeed a dragon piloting this arkship, it would be very stupid to come here like this.
Did it think it was Ibadon or Sakan?
But the continuous pull of Conquering Essence caught their attention. It was stronger than before now that this dragon arkship showed itself.
Finally, the entire arkship came out of the portal and the heavenly gate closed shut.
*Silence!*
The aura.
*CHANK!*
One of the many hatches opened up, and light spewed out from within.
The lion kings watched with held breaths. Many of them had even forgotten that they were not breathing.
Exalon’s clan members pooled outside the pyramid, mostly his consorts and princes with their own consorts.
They all looked at the open hatch big enough for a small mountain to pass through.
The arkship looked like it had been modified for the sake of a really big individual, like Exalon’s arkship.
Many of them were expecting to see a massive entity come out through this unreasonably large hatch.
But what came out was not that.
A lion dropped down from the hatch, a golden lion.
The eyes of many followed the golden lion as it casually walked out of the arkship. Each step this golden lion took transported it hundreds of meters.
The surface the golden lion stood on was nothing but condensed space which ripples with every movement he made.
The golden lion stood still after crossing thousands of kilometers.
The dark gold mane fluttered majestically as though there was harsh wind when in fact it was just the accumulation of many auras.
His deep, beautiful golden eyes stared indifferently at his surroundings. His sight lingered on the multicolored sky as well as the numerous beings in front of him.
The pointed pack of the pyramid glinted with a dark light behind him and the shadow of the arkship couldn’t suppress his glow.
This was Kael, the golden lion, the All-King, the ninth Primordial Lion.
All the Conquering Essence on the continent was being sucked into his body. It was like he was a magnet, attracting all the law essence into his body.
This caused his body to suddenly start glowing once his power pools were all filled up.
To the lion kings watching this, this was no different from the appearance of their messiah.
Kael’s aura was heavy, even if he wasn’t trying to show it. Many lions from Eridoria had once spoken about how it felt to be in Kael’s presence.
They had said on the forums that it was like standing in front of the embodiment of oppression and tyranny.
It felt like having a false mountain placed on their backs.
It was awe-inspiring and also a factor that generated fear.
Now, these Lion kings have to experience it for themselves.
Kael was a bit far away from them but their senses could perceive him very well. The false pressure, the feeling of oppression, their tyrannical aura.
It was exactly how those ancient lions had described Noel’s aura in the info orbs.
"Kael..." Exalon said as his muscles vibrated and he flew toward Kael.
Kael’s eyes shone with curiosity. He had seen Exalon before when he used the Conqueror Mode Avatar on Alora.
Back then, Exalon was in his true lion form. Right now, Kael could only recognize him through his voice.
"Exalon?" Kael asked.
At the same time, the glow from his body began to dim as he consciously started redirecting all the excess Conquering Essence into the system’s reserves.
Now that he was single-handedly sustaining one system and partially holding up three others, his Conquering Essence had to be used wisely.
What Kael also noticed was that he was still inching ever closer to the barrier that separated him from tier 6.
"Yes, All-King," Exalon said after arriving in front of Kael. Then he bowed.
As soon as Exalon bowed, the other Lion Kings received it as a signal to bow as well.
This was strange for them. They were lion kings, bowing was a very strange and uncomfortable thing for them.
But they discovered that as they bowed toward Kael, they didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. In fact, it felt like this was the only natural thing to do.
"The Primordial is in heaven..." One Lion King said, his voice laced with unsuppressed excitement.
"He surprised us, how dominating," One young Lion King said with stars in his eyes.
Many Lion Kings, especially the younger ones could not hold back their excitement and had already summoned the golden screen of their Lion System.
The much older lion kings like Exalon understood that this meant a lot of things would start happening.
If before, they had merely been doing the needful as Primordial Supporters, now they would be extra aggressive.
The word quickly spread and only those connected to the lion system received it first.
But this news was bound to spread beyond the system. It was bound to reach the ears of all of Kael’s enemies.
That the Primordial Lion was now in Leonine Heaven.
But Kael expected this. He wasn’t going to sit around and wait for them to come to him.
He decided he would make the first move. Fast, brutal, and merciless.
Exalon spoke to Kael, "All-King, now that you got here safely, what is the next step?" He asked.
Kael seemed rather indifferent to the commotion happening in the lion system right now. His attention was on Exalon.
Hearing Exalon’s question, Kael smiled.
"Let the purge begin."
