Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 465: I Think Something Is Wrong.

"It won’t be enough," Kael said, looking at the two dead dragons in front of him. One was the mutilated body of the fortune dragon with its lower jaw missing. The other was the dead boy of Ryskim.

Both of them were like small meat mountains, one yellow and the other grey.

It was a pity that they couldn’t retrieve the body of the red fire dragon commander as Nalii had blasted him to smithereens.

If not, they would have three bodies of tier 6 dragons right now.

"It’s not?" Olivia asked.

Kael shook his head, "No, we’ll need more than this for it to be enough,"

Kael was talking about using the bodies to get stronger. Not for him, but his consorts.

The battle with the dragons had led Kael to understand that in the coming future, their current strengths would be insufficient.

They might have arkships now but entities existed who could turn these machines into scrap metal on their own.

Technology could only go so far in supporting individual strength.

If his lionesses were to be his closest allies in the future, they needed to be strong, really strong.

Among the lionesses, N’bayé was currently the only one at tier 5, the rest were still tier 4.

Kael wanted them to be stronger than that.

Obviously, not all of them were like him, a talented Primordial. He was tier 5 already pushing tier 6 and they were still tier 4.

Getting stronger for them would be more time-consuming. Although probably faster than the average lion in heaven because of Conquering Essence, it was still a bit slow for Kael’s liking.

So Kael wanted to give them a little push.

He was able to calculate the quality of resources they would have to consume to evolve.

When at tier 2, it had taken most of them one heart for a tier 3 equivalent for them to evolve.

That was then, the cost of such forceful evolution drastically increased as they got stronger. Someone like Kael would probably need to consume about one hundred hearts from tier six equivalent entities for him to go straight from early tier 5 to tier 6.

Other ordinary tier 5 lions would need less than that but it was still a lot.

Kael wanted to get his lionesses to tier 5 from tier 4, and he had tier 6 corpses at his disposal.

It wasn’t enough.

"Why don’t you prioritize one person, you can focus on the others later," Olivia said.

"Who?" Kael asked, even though he already had someone in mind.

"Katari," Olivia said. At this time, she wasn’t thinking of herself. It wouldn’t have been surprising if she had picked herself.

She continued, "Katari is already very close to evolving. She just needs a little push.

Priya doesn’t seem like she needs any push actually, she seems capable of getting to tier 5 on her own.

The others are not yet there and it might be a waste of resources, if I’m to be brutally honest.

Katari is the best person to prioritize."

Kael nodded, he waved his hand and the two dragon corpses vanished. He put them in a small separate space that only he controlled.

It was a little trick he learned so that he could store some items with him.

"Oh," Kael said all of a sudden while the two of them walked out of the chamber world.

"What?" Olivia was curious.

"It’s Ozia," Kael said, a playful smirk forming on his face.

"Oh, has he found out yet?" Olivia asked as a warm smile appeared on her face too.

She liked that child, just felt that he was a little misguided. As a female, she had mixed feelings about the matter.

"Seems so," Kael said, "Let’s go back,"

A few moments earlier.

Planet Kareem, late afternoon.

The ring of a school bell echoed in the area as children rushed out of the school door.

The walls of the school building were a dark reddish cream color, making it so that it gave a gloomy yet calming vibe to the educational facility.

Little kids to teenagers, they numbered in the hundreds, and many more were probably still inside the school.

Some were wearing backpacks, others simply held their books and other learning materials in their hands.

At this time, the sound of the bell meant that school was over for the day and all the children were to find their way home as soon as possible.

Some children would go home by themselves. Either by foot or some simple modes of transportation like a bike or scooter.

Some other more privileged children could wait for a car to come pick them up.

For now, the area outside the school was lively.

Out of these children, one with silver grey hair calmly walked out of the building.

His grey eyes were calm and his body language showed that he feared nothing.

It was none other than Silas who was currently enjoying the mundane process of education.

As he walked out of the school building, the other children looked at him weirdly for a while before moving their eyes away. It was as if they forgot about him the moment they glanced his way.

Silas looked very satisfied right now. Teenagers were the best demographic for him to get the type of emotional stimulation he needed.

Silas felt that he was experiencing life in a way others couldn’t understand. In a way, he was getting a little high on the unstable emotional states of other creatures.

That was the main reason why he was in this school, to act as a vampiric empath, feeding off the emotions of these children.

The things that they thought in these schools didn’t concern Silas. He had already learned a bit of the subjects from their curriculum and browsed through their standard books.

Silas discovered that these schools were really doing the children a disservice as half of the things taught here were not really applicable in the real world.

But it wasn’t his business anyway. He simply saw himself as a spectator, a temporary observer enjoying the experience.

Silas narrowed his eyes as he saw two familiar figures on the other side of the road.

The school had a standard road in front of it and some of the children had to cross this road to go home.

Already, a crossing guard was waiting for them in the middle of the road with a handheld stop sign. He was there to help the children cross the road by stopping any incoming cars.

Occasionally, the crossing guard would look to the sky, wondering if that apocalyptic scene from a week ago would appear again.

The crossing guard was not who Silas was looking at, but the two figures on the other side of the road.

One of them also had child-like features like Silas. He had neck-length dreadlocks and wheat colored skin. He bore a very strong resemblance to N’bayé and Kael, Silas’s father.

Silas narrowed his eyes. It had been a while since he saw his brother. Actually, it had been a while since he saw any of his siblings.

Silas didn’t really appreciate being interrupted when drowning in the zone of emotions. And his siblings were masters at providing distractions.

Seeing Ozia here and now, he wasn’t too surprised.

Earlier, when their powers had all mysteriously vanished, it had been a scary thing for all of them. Most of them were so far apart from each other that they had to depend on themselves for that short period of time.

All of them passed through that powerless phase and felt flaws in themselves that they had never felt before.

Perhaps, that was the reason the caste leaders had mellowed down after that.

Silas crossed the road with a nonchalant expression, not even giving a glance to the crossing guard and the other children crossing the road with him.

Cars were stopped, fortunately, right before they could hit him.

Silas made it to the other side of the road without any hassle.

He gazed at Ozia, looking at his elder brother with a curious gaze, and then looked at the taller person standing beside him.

Isabel looked at Silas, a hidden look of plea flashing in her fiery eyes.

Silas’s grey eyes focused back on Ozia. He noticed that Ozia did not actually look good.

He looked like he had not slept in a while which was weird for someone of his power level.

"Ozia, how are you? With the way you and Isabel were troubling those nation leaders before, I assumed you guys were the reason the commotion was hushed..." Silas said, trying to start a conversation.

He could immediately sense the cloud of negative emotions practically oozing from Ozia. As the elder brother stood there, Silas couldn’t help but wonder what had happened.

"It was probably Father’s doing," Ozia said with a hoarse, shaky voice.

Silas frowned. If he wasn’t wrong, Ozia sounded like he was struggling to hold himself from crying.

"Ozia? What happened?" Silas asked with concern.

Ozia took in a deep breath, "I want you to confirm something for me, I don’t know if there is something wrong with my senses.

Something is wrong with Isabel..."
