Chapter 430: Werewolf
Right before the residential district that was on the slightly elevated side of the city, there was a highway.
A part of his highway wrapped around the borders of the residential district, allowing cars to drive on the highway with the city lights to their left and a rocky wall to their right.
At this time of the night, the city was still bustling with activities, although there were reports of some strange happenings at a certain Holy Sin Club and another corporate building.
Most didn’t pay attention to it, at least, not yet. They still went about their lives as these things did not concern them.
The cars sped along the road of the highway, leaving behind the sounds of running engines in their wake.
At this time, there are still quite a lot of cars going and coming on the highway lanes.
Suddenly, two intertwined figures arced over the highway lane, coming from the right side on top of the rocky side to the left.
Blue electric beams blasted the grounds and trees. Pandemonium set in as the drivers who saw the frightening scene stomped on their brake pedals, their cars sliding to a halt.
This sudden halt caused collisions, and accidents happened in droves with cars slamming into each other.
But this wasn’t of any concern to the two intertwined figures that clashed mid-air.
Jocelyn, still covered in a coating of her own fierce electric powers, grabbed onto Ralph’s expanding shoulders and charged her hands with power.
A deep guttural growl escaped from Ralph’s throat. The pain from the shocks only accelerated his transformation.
*BAM!*
Their heavy bodies smashed into the ground of a hotel parking lot, cracking the pavement.
Ralph rolled away, his shirt and jean trousers already torn, unable to contain his growing body.
"Argh!" Ralph gritted his teeth. Normally, werewolf transformations were always accompanied by pain. But Ralph had always felt that his own transformations were too painful.
He was certain that he was the only werewolf that ever experienced this level of pain during transformation. Every time it changed, it felt as if his body was trying to break away from some pre-existing code that was limiting his body.
It hurt, and it hurt badly. The pain was what made it hard for him to stay clear-headed in this form.
Jocelyn stood up from the ground, unscathed. She had stopped expending energy to maintain her shift technique, causing her true humanoid appearance to be revealed to the world.
The car park was not so empty as there was a couple in a car who had previously been making out until they heard the sound of the crash.
Jocelyn’s focus was entirely on this transforming man in front of her. Her blue ears and blue tail crackled with blue lightning.
Her electromagnetic field was expanding and encompassing the cars, streetlights, and cameras.
She rushed forward, having no intention of letting Ralph complete his grotesque transformation.
*BAM!*
Ralph had no way of stopping it, his furry cheek was struck square by Jocelyn’s electricity-coated fist. The last thing he saw before flying backward was her piercing blue eyes.
Ralph’s body hit a car on the way, smashing back headfirst and denting the car seriously. The car did not stop its momentum, instead, both he and the car continued moving back until they hit an alley wall.
"Hmm," Jocelyn narrowed her eyes as she walked toward the wreckage.
She could still hear the sound of debris from the shattered wall being pushed away.
Ralph was not yet down.
She arrived at the wall hole that had half of a car plugged through it. The dust had settled but Ralph was nowhere to be seen.
Jocelyn looked around, her pointy wolf ears rotating like high-powered satellites and her senses searching for the slightest disturbance.
Suddenly, Jocelyn took a powerful step back just as a massive clawed hand materialized in front of her face.
Perhaps, if she had not stepped back at the right time, her face would have been torn off by those sharp claws.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Jocelyn kicked out at the invisible air, not caring if she was going to hit nothing.
She didn’t.
Her booted feet bashed the abdomen of a beast, sending it out of its camouflage state.
Ralph, now fully transformed, crashed through more walls due to the kick and finally stopped, rolling to a crawl in the middle of the road two streets away.
Jocelyn looked through the series of wall holes, tilting her head in confusion at what she was seeing.
Ralph stood up from the ground, standing on his two feet and assuming a height of eight feet.
He had changed.
Two erect wolf ears pointed to the moonlit sky which showed his grey furred body with moonlight.
Ralph was now covered completely in grey fur from head to toe.
His knee joints appeared to have been reversed and his feet now looked more like wide wolf paws.
A large fluffy tail spun slowly behind his hulking form, shifting the air with heavy whooshing sounds.
His arms rippled with pure muscular power. His hands were now decorated with five long, curved claws.
The head was no longer that of a human, it was replaced with the head of a grey-furred ferocious wolf.
Most of his clothes were gone and the only clothes on his body at the moment were the black elastic underwear that covered his genitals.
*GROWL!*
Ralph’s lips parted as he bared his sharp fangs at Jocelyn who was already running toward him.
His transformation shocked her but it didn’t deter her. This was her target and she would make sure to catch him whichever form he took.
Not to mention that his transformation into this half-wolf half human form made Jocelyn feel extra excited to be on this hunt
"You don’t even know why we’re chasing you! Why are you..." Jocelyn spoke as she dashed to the werewolf.
But Ralph had not waited behind to hear her finish her sentence. He ran, he ran fast.
This time, now that he was in his full werewolf form, Ralph was much faster and stronger than before. His speed was terrifying.
A single stomp had launched him into the sky. His claws grasped the concrete walls of the building in his way.
He jumped again, and again, leaping from one building to another. Sometimes he ran on the walls, sometimes he crawled on the rooftops.
Anything to get away from his pursuers.
Within a short amount of time, he had already gone deep into the still bustling city. Everywhere he went was followed by the sound of falling pieces of concrete or glass.
The chaos and destruction caused by the movements of this special werewolf naturally attracted the
Even as he traversed the concrete jungle with pure raw power, the one who chased him was right behind him.
Jocelyn raced through the city, smashing her way past the cars, walls, and people, to get to Ralph.
She ran fast on her two legs, leaving blue electric streaks behind her like a lightning speedster.
She didn’t scale the building like Ralph, just keeping him in her vision from the ground.
Ralph kept on jumping from one building to the other, sometimes crashing through the windows to come out of the other side of a building.
If he were being chased by regular humans using regular cars, he would have lost them long ago.
Alas, Jocelyn was a different kind of enemy he had never seen before. She had the scent of a werewolf, except her scent was more primal, more...original.
And how was she even able to match his strength without transforming?
"GET BACK!"
Ben’s loud bellow rang from the sky above Ralph. Ralph had come to a halt on top of one of the tall apartment buildings when he heard Ben’s loud cry.
He looked up to see Ben’s two arms raised and poised for a pound.
There was nowhere to run, Ben had been waiting for this moment and had calculated everything from where he had been waiting.
*BOOM!*
Ben’s two arms came down like meteors, landing on Ralph’s head.
The rooftop exploded.
The whole building shook and the window either cracked or shattered into countless pieces.
Ralph’s werewolf body shot down the building, smashing through the concrete deckings and shaking the foundations that held the structure upright.
The ground vibrated terribly as Ralph’s body hit the subterranean level. Dust clouds rose into the air, blocking the view of all the humans in the vicinity.
The blaring noise of police sirens filled the air, the law enforcement was already on its way.
At this time, Jocelyn arrived and ran into the clouds of dust, ignoring the humans running away like headless chickens.
*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*
The loud sounds of heavy fists and kicks being exchanged along with the occasional cracking of electricity filled the ears of the panicked.
A large figure burst out of the crumbling building, his feet drawing two deep lines on the asphalt road.
It was Ben, and he had three large claw marks on his chest which was already healing. Soon all that was left was a torn shirt.
Ben smirked, "YES! RESIST ME! FIGHT BACK!," He declared at the top of his voice.
Just then, out of the wreckage of the crumbling building, a powerful pulse swept forth, expanding to cover the whole planet within the blink of an eye.
The pulse didn’t stop there, it kept on traveling beyond, reaching the void space and passing through Kael’s arkship.
