Chapter 1296: Reunion (1)
When the weather cleared, they could finally come out of the small cave.
The water on the mountain kept flowing down, and the mudslide had gradually stopped. The original path was filled with trees, rocks, and soil, making it impossible to walk.
Mu Yangling looked at the road and sighed. "Since it’s getting late, let’s think of a way to hunt some prey for now. We’ll think of a way to leave the mountain tomorrow."
The guards agreed and tried to think of a way to go to the adjacent mountain to hunt. After all, this mountain they were on was filled with rocks. It was lucky enough that they could find rodents this morning.
The few of them were so famished that their eyes were shining. Before the sky turned completely dark, they brought back a few rabbits and a silly roe deer.
The guard captain said happily, "This roe deer’s legs were broken by the mountain current and it was stuck halfway up the mountain. It caught our attention the moment we went over and we brought it back when we saw that it was still alive."
As the rain had just stopped, only a few animals would run out to bask in the sun or look for food. Most of them were still hiding, so it took them quite some time to find a few rabbits.
However, these few rabbits were not enough to fill the gaps between their teeth considering there were so many of them, not to mention that they had been starving for two days.
It was impossible for there to be a water source on a stone mountain, but because it had just rained heavily, there were concave rocks filled with water, and water kept flowing down the mountain. Due to the fact that there was less mud and more rocks here, the water flowing mid-mountain was very clear.
Although Mu Yangling knew that there were many living organisms in this seemingly clear water even though they were invisible to the naked eye, hygiene didn’t seem particularly important when one was starving to death.
