Some things couldn't be hidden.
Not long after Lynch arrived home, Ferrall paid him a visit.
Nowadays, some people already knew about the good relationship between Ferrall and Lynch, such as the mayor. This situation was quite common. Everyone had their own social circle and friends, and he also understood the reason Ferrall was doing it. It wasn't much different from what he had done in the past.
As long as it didn't harm his interests, the mayor wouldn't interfere with their interactions. In fact, sometimes their relationship made it more convenient for the mayor to accomplish certain things, like now.
Ferrall declined Lynch's offer of coffee and directly asked, "What did Edward want when he called all of you over?"
Such a direct question could only be asked if the relationship of the two was close. If their relationship was at that level, even if Ferrall could ask, Lynch wouldn't answer.
Lynch asked the maid for a cup of coffee. He had been drinking and needed some coffee to sober up. He actually preferred tea, but such things didn't exist in this world.
After a brief thought, he replied nonchalantly, "He planned to assert his ideas and rallied some people to his side. They intended to talk to the union in a few days to see if they could resolve the current troubles."
Upon hearing Lynch's words, Ferrall's expression became visibly serious. There was no doubt that Legislator Edward's private actions were despicable. Such matters should be handled by the City Hall, not by a state assembly member. He wasn't part of Sabin City's ruling class; he was overstepping his authority.
